Zurich, Switzerland– In a letter to H.M. Queen Sirikit, His Holiness the Dalai Lama expressed his sadness on learning of the passing away of H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand who the Thai people have looked to as a source of hope and inspiration for more than 70 years. He offered his condolences to Her Majesty, the members of the family and the people of Thailand in their grief. His Holiness recalled the honor of meeting the late King during his first visit to Thailand in 1967.
